Grantlas in ChatGPT

Find funders and federal grants, see why each one fits, and keep your tracker up to date, from a ChatGPT chat.

What you need

A Grantlas account and a ChatGPT account. US funders and grants only.

Create a Grantlas account

Add it

For now, Grantlas is added with ChatGPT's Developer mode, on ChatGPT's website. It needs a ChatGPT Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise or Edu plan.

  1. In ChatGPT, turn on Settings → Apps → Advanced settings → Developer mode.
  2. Choose Create app. Name it Grantlas and paste this link: https://mcp.grantlas.com
  3. Choose OAuth, confirm, and create it.
  4. A Grantlas window opens: enter your email, type the code we send and choose Connect.

Several clients?

One connection covers every client in your account. Say which one (“switch to Lone Star”, “what’s due for TGF?”). Grantlas tells ChatGPT which client each result is for. Set a nickname in Settings → Organization, or ask ChatGPT to set one.

What ChatGPT can look up

  • funders and federal grants, with your Fit and the reason
  • funder details, giving history and past grantees
  • your saved and tracked lists, deadlines and what’s new
  • your saved searches

What it can change

ChatGPT asks before it removes or overwrites anything.

  • save, track or hide funders and grants
  • move tracked items between stages, and edit notes, deadlines and reminders
  • save, rename or delete saved searches, and turn their alerts on or off
  • your “Never show me” rules
  • your organization’s profile, only while sharing is on

Your organization profile

With sharing on, ChatGPT sees your mission, programs and service area, so it can explain each Fit and update your profile when you ask. With it off, ChatGPT still sees each Fit, but not the reason or red flags. Change it in Settings → Integrations.

What ChatGPT sees

Only what it looks up for you. It never sees your billing details.

How we handle your data

Disconnect

In Grantlas: Settings → Integrations → Disconnect.

In ChatGPT: Settings → Apps → Grantlas → Disconnect.

Limits

  • Up to 25 results per request; ask for the next page.
  • Up to 30 requests a minute.

Questions

It says to connect Grantlas again.

The connection ended. In ChatGPT, connect Grantlas and sign in again.

It says my plan doesn't include this.

Your Grantlas plan isn't active. Sign in at grantlas.com to see your account.

Why does it ask before removing things?

So nothing in Grantlas is removed or overwritten without your yes.

Why is a Fit missing?

Grantlas is still analyzing it. Ask again in a minute.
